The ClearVoice fits comfortably over one ear (or both with the Hs05z) either left or right depending on preference. Head-sets can be tricky and particularly irritating if they don’t stay put on one’s head properly – these head microphones not only fits well, but after a few minutes you will stopped noticing that it was even on your head. The last thing one wants is to be fiddling with this fixture particularly if you’re busy performing or hosting a conference etc. The moulded earpiece is also a nice snug fit, which is a pleasant surprise. The boom appears to be very flexible and within reason can be quite easily shaped onto one’s face, although bending this should be done within reason.
The ClearVoice range is fully compatible with most leading brands of Wireless Systems. You can order the cable on the head-mic with the following connectors: Sennheiser 3,5mm Screw Jack, AKG 3 pin mini XLR, Audio Technica 4 pin mini XLR and Shure 4 pin mini XLR. They also have a detachable cable with a carry case to protect the unit, a windshield to reduce wind or blowing noise and a tie clip to avoid the cable from pulling or twisting. Colours available are beige or black.
The specifications are good with a frequency response of 20 Hz -20 KHz and SPL (Sound Pressure Level) of 140 db. Needless to say, the delivery is clear and balanced.
Having tested the ClearVoice it has to be said that it compares extremely well with similar products on the market, but importantly in these tough times it is selling for less than half the price of the “well-known brand.â€
