Dates from 1940's. Blocks of ice were placed in the upper section of the chest which was lined with zinc to keep food cool. Lid lifts up and section can be used for storage. Most of these ice chests had one door at the bottom for storage. This one is rare as it has two doors at the bottom. The chest is made from oak and imported from USA
