Own a piece of a bygone era. I found these two handmade lace fingerbowl covers in a charity shop. They were framed but the frames were damaged. At the back there was an inscription: "For Barbara Marais. Fingerbowl mat embroidered by Martha Leuner aged about 28 before 1920". I had the mats re-framed and saved the inscription.
