Caucasus have been at various times home to many different people including Turks, Armenians, Persians and the Nomad tribes of Central Asia. All have enhanced its rich heritage of rugs. The rugs come from a difficult and generally inaccessible mountain area between the Caspian and Black Sea. These rugs have the distinctive feature of being severely geometric with both colourful and bright palette.
