Short Description of the TFS Dual Element Application
In the application of the TFS solution, the Conventional Household Geyser is not removed from the house, but the element is removed and replaced with a dual 220volt / Solar element .The element is designed and patented for solar application without any inverter or other complicated control mechanisms.
Four PV (photovoltaic) electrical panels are fitted on the roof and these panels are connected to the PV powered dual element in the geyser, this heating element convert electrical power into hot water without any complicating control devices or any modifications to pipe work in the users household system.
The client can now utilise solar energy and will enjoy a saving of electricity, “heating the geyser†of about 8Kwh / Day.
Advantages
• Low cost installation
• Reduces the electricity bill by 240Kw/hrs. / month
• No modifications of any existing pipework
• No inverter required - this reduces cost and makes the PV system substantially more efficient.
• No complicated electrical control system required
• Normal vacuum tube and other hot water systems require direct sunrays to operate effectively. Electrical PV systems only require light and for this reason is more effective during cloudy days
• Solar PV panels make a neat installation on the roof that is allowed in all High End Estates where conventional vacuum tube systems is not permitted.
• Solar panels perform much better under extreme weather conditions and have a life expectancy beyond 25 years; whereas conventional vacuum tube solar systems have a life expectancy of 8 years.
• The unit is equipped with a timer to ensure that the 220 volt element functions effectively and sufficient warm / hot water is.
